Joshua was the son of Nun, who was Moses’ assistant. He was most known for his work as a military leader and spy for the Israelites, dividing up conquered land for the 12 Tribes.
The story begins when God tells Joshua to go to Canaan, the land He had promised to the Israelites in His covenant with Abraham, and walk every corner of the territory to take authority over the land and lead God’s people to occupy it.
For context, Israel had no weaponry and no army, so Joshua was essentially going into enemy land armed only with God’s promise to him and to Abraham.
Before God sent Joshua into Canaan, He clarified this important promise to him…
Numbers 27:18 NIV
“So the Lord said to Moses, ‘Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is in the spirit of leadership, and lay your hand on him.'”
Joshua 1:3 NIV
“I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.”
Joshua 1:8 NIV
“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”
On the condition that you obey His Word and have courage!
The goal of Splendid Network is to create a Christ-centered community focused on equipping this generation with resources and opportunities for excellence through collaboration between informed people and organizations.
1
Free will is the essence of mankind.
Most problems in life are operator problems.
2
Half of knowing what to do is knowing what not to do.
Living in ignorance is no better than believing lies.
3
Humility is a learned skill.
Faith is a decision everyone makes.
Saying and doing are two totally different things, so it’s easy to say you’ll be strong and courageous, but what does that really mean?
What does courage look like in the Bible?
spoke with God on Mount Sinai
Moses had the courage to speak the law of God despite having a speech impediment, because God promised him He would be with him in his journey.
Walked with God to Canaan
Joshua had the courage to occupy enemy territory and take authority over how land was divided between the Israelite tribes, because God prepared him well and promised victory!
Took down giants with God
David had the courage to battle the giant, Goliath, because he prayed every day and remembered the times in his past when God had protected him.
Identifying problems is only the first step of solving problems, which is why this network exists–to create honest solutions that work for this generation.
The business of placing band-aids on bullet-holes has led to cultural decay like that which God has warned His people about throughout history.
In the interest of solving problems, this network was born from the hope of a collaborative effort of thinkers and truth seekers, unified in the quest for wisdom and through divine understanding from the Holy Spirit.
This means your participation plays a vital role in the solutions proposed by this network.
There is a responsibility to be had in knowing, and this is our collection of treasured knowledge for which we are responsible for, as God has overseen.
My name is Maria, and I am here to equip you with tools of excellence: knowledge, discernment, wisdom, and joy.

“For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will rise from another place; but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Joshua 1:9 NIV
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
